2006 SRIXON TOUR RESULTS

'The Doctor makes his presence known on the Lower Mainland Srixon Tour’. After a sluggish start to the 2006 Srixon Tour season, the ‘Doctor Phil’ Jonas of McCleery Golf Course made his mark with his fine score of 66 at Peace Portal this Monday, vaulting him into 2nd place on the year’s Order of Merit standings. Second place on the day was Bryn Parry of Seymour Creek Golf Center, who shot 69 and maintained his lead in the year long ‘Order of Merit’ race, some $300 in front of Phil Jonas and $450 ahead of Fraser Mulholland. Third place in today’s event went to Jarad Boddy, a rookie on the Srixon Tour who is showing potential with his game this year. With his third place finish, Boddy also grabbed a spot into the Canadian Tour’s Greater Vancouver Classic being that Parry and Jonas are already exempt for the Canadian Tour’s upcoming event at Hazelmer. A total of five Srixon Tour Players will be represented in the GVC, including past BCPGA Champion Mike Haraguchi of Capilano Golf Club and Jamie Macintosh of Hazelmere Golf Club. The next event scheduled for the Srixon Tour is Tuesday, June 13th at Nicklaus North Golf Club.
