Here are
the results of our latest Lower Mainland Srixon Tour event that was
held April 24th at Point Grey Golf and Country Club. The golf course
was in great shape and was stretched to its fullest, showcasing a
few of the newly added tee-boxes to their par 3’s and a couple of
par 4’s. As you can see, we had a full turn out of 43 Srixon Tour
players (normally a full field is 40 players) plus Jamie Mckenzie of
Srixon Canada. We had a three way tie for first place by Point
Grey’s own Head Pro Jeff Buder, Mark Ciupka from Boundary Shores and
the Commissioner of the tour himself! Due to darkness we had to keep
it a tie instead of having a playoff to determine the outright
winner. Just for interest sake, one of our members, Jay Park of Musqueum has generously put up a handsome prize of $500 to the first member on our tour who breaks an existing course record during our tour schedule this year. Furthermore, the Srixon ball is catching the attention of our members, as 18 of the 43 players tee’d it up with a Srixon Ball in today’s event. |
