Srixon Tour Commissioner Mulholland
shows the boys he can still play!
For a second straight week on the Srixon Tour, the winds swirled at
least 1-2 clubs all day, causing havoc for most of the field at the
Richmond Country Club. Experience in the wind and patience paid off
for the tour’s commissioner Fraser Mulholland as he prevailed the
winner of the fourth event of the year with a score of 2-under par
70. The only other score under par was posted by Mayfair Lakes
Assistant Professional Shingo Akizuki. Tied for third with scores of
74 were Richmond C.C.’s own Scott Shepherd and newcomer to the tour
this year Ryan Williams of Richview Golf Center. Mulholland’s second
win of the season vaults him to the top of the Srixon Tour Order of
Merit with a total of $1,365.00 and $240 ahead of Bryn Parry.
Our next scheduled tournament is Monday, May 15th at the Point
Roberts Golf Club. We still don’t have a winner of the $500 bonus
Jay Park has offered for breaking any existing course record during
our tour schedule! Point Robert’s course record is 68, so there’s a
good chance we could be paying out our first course record ‘BONUS’
Sincere regards,
Fraser Mulholland
